Elmo and Nemo

SO right now Drakes favorite imaginary guys are Elmo and Nemo. I can not got to the store without him pointing out every single picture of Elmo and every picture of a fish "Nemo". Its so cute! He notices really little pictures of Elmo from far away, its amazing how much he is really paying attention to everything. He is so smart! Jason and I love to play hide and seek with him around the house. Its so funny to watch him try to find us and when he figures out where we are he walks by a few times and looks right at us but acts like he didn't see us then finally will just run up and get us. Its so cute! When he is doing something wrong Jason will start counting down from 5 and Drake things Jason is asking to "Give him 5" so he runs up and slaps Jason's hand "5", lol. Its so sweet how innocent he is!
Also, he is scared to death of the Halloween isle at the store. Last year he thought that stuff was funny but this year its scary. Its so neat how he learned whats "good" and "bad". Even though we try to tell him the stuff isn't scary he remains convinced its gonna get him.

Its been a while...

And some things have changed, good and bad, I guess... We are starting to catch up with our money still but that may be at a halt soon. Jason lost his job this past Monday, the shady one. The one where they told him to be a rude as he liked to the customers. Guess what he got fired for?? "Being rude to customers and things like that..." I'm not surprised it happened though. I knew it was coming it was just a matter of when. You can't expect to work for people that could care less about their customers, which is usually #1 for a company, to care about the employee's. Job's keep letting Jason down. He has done a couple of jobs on the side lately that were shady too, one that said they would pay him in cash paid him with a gift certificate to get his picture taken, how nice!
On a lighter note, Tuesday he went for an interview to be a prison guard and made it almost to the end, but in March we got a ticket for no proof of insurance so they told him they couldn't hire him unless he could get the judge to dismiss the charges. Jason's mom got our attorney to go to court the next day AND they got the judge to dismiss ALL charges and it will be taken off his record. SO Jason is back in the running to getting the job. But the job won't start until January 5th so we are in the predicament of him finding a job for money until then. Or permanently, because he doesn't have the job, yet... So the plot thickens in our bad luck streak, a little good in there but who knows if that little good will stick. We will see I guess. I definitely have my fingers crossed and I am saying my prayers.
Drake is growing up so much and so fast. He learns tons of new things every day and he is so smart. I love watching him bloom into this little person that he is discovering to be. I hope that I am teaching him right and I am trying to clean up my language around him so he doesn't drop the "f" word one of these days. If he ever does it will probably be in front of some churchy people that drop by my house attempting to get me to come to church, hahahaha I WISH.... But really I am trying to, its so hard though and I forget all the time until I see those big blue eyes as I am saying the words I am trying to stop and I kick myself. He is listening and his little mouth will say them if I don't watch it.
